Minority Farmers of the South: Greener Mississippi Initiative

We completed our first phase of the MFOTS Greener Mississippi Initiative in 2024 by providing training and community engagement Sessions in the cities of Silver City, MS, Belzoni, MS and Greenville, MS. Our mission during these sessions were to:
1. Enhance urban green spaces
2. Improve environmental health
3. Foster community engagement
4. Provide workforce development training and employment opportunities

Please join us and support us in 2025 as we provide training, employment, and engagement opportunities to the communities of Rolling Fork, MS Anguilla, MS and Vicksburg, MS.

2026 Projects

On May 8, 2026, we launched the Minority Small Business Referral Network in a collaborative effort with ten minority owned small businesses to promote the visibility, profitability and long-term sustainability of small businesses in the greater Jackson, MS area. Our mission is to ensure minority business success through education, engagement, and continuous support.
